Terms & Policies
Reservations & Deposits:
Kidding will start the end of January and continue on into late spring. I will have both kids and milkers available. All available animals will be listed on my Facebook page and offered on a first come, first serve basis. Deposits will be required in order to hold any animals, but are not accepted until animals are made available..
I care very much about my herd of goats and it is important to me that they are healthy. I run a DISEASE TESTED herd. Adults and kids over 6 months old are tested yearly and are negative for CAE. My herd is CL free and my Nubians are G-6-S Normal by parentage or direct testing. I have proof of lab results (TVMDL) available upon request and a copy of that paperwork will accompany all purchased animals.
Further testing: I am happy to have any further disease testing done at your(the buyer's) pre-paid expense.
Kid Management:
I am available for advice as to the future care and tending of goats at purchase time and thereafter. All kids will be raised on cocci prevention and be UTD on de-wormings and vaccinations at time of sale.
Copper bolusing is done yearly or as needed.
I plan on dam raising all of the Nigerians kids (buck or doe). Dam raised kids(Nigerians) will be weaned and ready to go after 8 weeks for bucklings and 12 weeks of age for the doelings. If you would prefer to bottle raise a Nigerian, I will pull them at birth and put them on a bottle for you. They will then be available for pickup after they are well started(2 weeks of age). You must let me know of this preference and place a deposit on the kid before kidding or they will be dam raised until weaning.
All Nubian kids will be pulled at birth and bottle/lambar raised. They will be available for pickup after 2 weeks of age.
All kids will be disbudded & will be tattooed before pickup.
Prices:
Prices can vary after kidding depending on quality. Price will go up with age as I put more effort, money, and time into them. Also, price can go up according to their LA session and/or their sire and dam's DHIR/LA results. Prices quoted are for reserved kids only. Kids that were not reserved will be evaluated at birth, re-evaluated on an on-going basis and the selling price revised after birth and as they grow and develop. Costs of labor, feeding, vaccines, worming, coccidia preventives, dam's udder and show winnings as well as other factors will be considered in the price revision process.
Transport:
Prices do not include interstate health certificates. You, the buyer, are responsible for picking up and/or arranging and paying for necessary transport for any and all goats.
Sales Policy:
I accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or cash. Be aware that PayPal charges a 3% processing fee that must be added to the final price of the animal. Please notify me before you send money via PayPal and include a note with the transfer as to which animal it should be applied to.
All sales are first come, first serve and final once complete payment is received. The animal is your complete responsibility once it leaves the farm. Due to farm heath and bio-security, I cannot take 'returned' animals back if you decide you can no longer care for them. Any and all deposits or payments are non-refundable as long as the animal is available. As such, if you change your mind, you forfeit your deposit.
Complete, final payment is due upon pickup. Animals will not leave the farm without complete payment. Payment must be PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or cash.
I will only allow animals to go to their new homes if they are visibly healthy at time of pickup. Because I can only show or tell you what to expect from the purchased animals under my own management, I make no guarantees for their health, production, growth, or any other aspects under your management, as it is out of my control as soon as they leave the farm. Kids that develop genetic defects will be replaced when we have another available. A written statement from the buyer and a licensed veterinarian stating findings is required and registration papers must be returned.
IN PLACING A DEPOSIT OR BUYING AN ANIMAL, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS OF SALE. This holds true whether or not you have read them, because they are available for your consideration at any time upon request, and also easily found on my website. If you have any questions regarding any of these terms, please do not hesitate to ask.
